Management

Management is about taking a leading role – planning what needs to be done to achieve organisational goals, organising the resources to reach those goals, motivating and mentoring people, and measuring performance, amongst other things.

Management

At the School of Management, we aim to provide you with the skills you’ll need to tackle managerial and leadership roles in any industry or sector. Our graduates work as business managers, entrepreneurs, environmental business managers, foreign affairs officers, human resource managers, management consultants and more.

We’re engaged in the discovery, development and dissemination of management-related knowledge, with particular emphasis on developing a diversity of ideas, innovative and entrepreneurial approaches, and lifelong learning through our research, industry links, and regional and global alliances.

Our undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs are focused on services management, which is centrally important to the Australian and world economies. We place a strong emphasis on work-integrated learning, providing you with opportunities to engage with industry throughout your studies through initiatives such as real-life projects and internships.

We continue to evolve education and research in the field of management, focusing not only on the essential core areas but also on those of growing importance. This is why we provide courses in fields as diverse as entrepreneurship, international business and our new MBA (Global).
