Accreditation and rankings

The CGSB has been at the national forefront of management education since 1993 and is a dominant Australian player in the international MBA marketplace.

In February 2015, the Curtin MBA was accredited for three years for its MBA program by the EFMD. EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) is based on the same principles as its EQUIS accreditation; i.e. how well the assessed program meets its criteria of successful internationalisation and its high standards in the areas of academic rigour, corporate relevance and quality assurance.

The accreditation was granted through a combination of rigorous self-assessment and examination culminating in a site visit from the EPAS audit team in November 2014. The international Peer Review Team assessed the individual units comprising the MBA, interviewed faculty and school academic and administrative staff and met with current students, CGSB Alumni, members from the CGSB Industry Advisory Board and other industry leaders.

The CGSB joins an exclusive league of EPAS-accredited schools globally. As of 23 February 2015, there were 89 programmes from 65 institutions in 30 countries that have been awarded EPAS accreditation. The Curtin MBA is one of only three such programs awarded this accreditation in Australia and the only EPAS-accredited MBA program in WA.

Graduates who choose to study on an EPAS accredited programme can be assured they are attending an institution with high international standards of quality, with a balance between high academic quality and professional relevance and that the needs of the corporate world are well integrated into the programme. Students will also receive international recognition for their qualification, which is extremely important in today’s global environment.

The Curtin Master of Business Administration (Strategic Procurement) is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (Australasia) which is the leading body representing the field of procurement and supply management in the region.
