Curtin Business School (CBS) recognises research and development as one of its core business activities and is committed to fostering an environment supportive of research endeavour. There are currently two fellowships available, the Curtin Research Fellowship and Haydn Williams Fellowship.

Curtin Research Fellowship

If you are an early career researcher or senior research fellow, Curtin University’s Research Fellowships are an excellent opportunity to continue your high-quality business researcher. The Fellowships, established in 1997 to support the University’s commitment to be a research intensive university, are research-only, four-year positions with Curtin Business School and are supported by generous funds and have the potential for continuing employment.

Curtin Business School supports applications in the following research areas:

  • Public policy (including population, infrastructure, regional and rural development
  • Economics (including energy and minerals economics, housing and property, labour economics, employment relations and human resources)
  • Organisational behaviour and strategy
  • Sustainable and health tourism
  • Digital economy concentrating on decision analysis and big data
  • Governance, tax and regulation
  • Finance and business performance
  • Corporate social responsibility
  • Logistics and supply chain management
  • Media and brand management

Haydn Williams Fellowship

The Haydn Williams Fellowship is named after Dr Haydn Williams, who masterminded the establishment of WAIT along with George Hayman and was the institute’s inaugural director from 1967-1979.

The Fellowship recognises visionary service to WAIT, to education and to the community of Western Australia. It is awarded to an academic of outstanding international reputation and broad academic interest. The Haydn Williams Fellow will build Curtin’s engagement with the global academic community and reach out to industry and the community through broad representation and engagement of Curtin staff.
