Two-Year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Economics

The Institute for Women’s Policy Research invites women from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups who are interested in the study of policy issues affecting women to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship.

IWPR conducts and communicates research to inspire public dialogue, shape policy, and improve the lives and opportunities of women of diverse backgrounds, circumstances, and experiences.  This two-year fellowship provides the opportunity to contribute to IWPR research projects that inform policies affecting women and their families. The fellow will work in IWPR’s Washington, DC, office with an experienced, multi-disciplinary team of PhD-level researchers and research associates on a variety of topics related to employment, education, income security, work and family, health and safety, and women and girls of color.

Candidates must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. in economics by September 1, 2017, or have received the Ph.D. in economics after January 1, 2014. Applicants must either be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or already have a valid work permit for the duration of the fellowship. Applicants should submit their applications as soon as possible, but no later than June 15, 2017.

  • The Capstone Editing Conference Travel Grant for Postgraduate Research Students

  • The Capstone Editing Laptop Grant for Postgraduate Coursework Students

  • The Capstone Editing Research Scholarship for Honours Students

$3,000 for one Honours student per year to assist with covering the costs associated with the research for their thesis. Applications are open annually from 1 January to 30 April.   • The Capstone Editing Textbook Grant for Undergraduates

$3,000 for one undergrad per year to assist with covering the cost of their textbooks for the duration of their degree. (The recipient will receive one $1,000 gift voucher per year for three years.)
