Curtin Business School (CBS) partners with a range of small, medium and large organisations; the professions; the not-for-profit sector and government to shape our courses. Aligning our teaching with the needs of industry, we contribute to the knowledge economy of our nation and future business leaders.
At CBS, our commitment to making a difference to the local and national business community remains at the forefront of everything we do. As a result, we continue to forge outstanding partnerships with leading organisations that harbour similar aspirations and will work with us to achieve this mission.
Partnering with CBS can be achieved in a number of ways. We form relationships based on strong synergies and mutual benefit to all parties involved. This may be through a formal sponsorship agreement, a one-off engagement or a consultancy program tailored to your specific needs.
We thank our current partners for their ongoing support in connecting CBS to industry.
Some of our current and recent industry partnerships include:
In 2012, Curtin announced a new, multimillion-dollar partnership with Bankwest that will examine the economic issues facing Western Australia. Drawing on expertise from these two iconic institutions, the partnership aims to inform and influence state policymakers in mutual pursuit of a sustainable economic future.
The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre will work to solve real-world problems and enhance the state’s economic prospects.
Some of the key research projects the centre will undertake include:
- state and regional effects of the emissions and resource rent taxes;
- forecasting key state economic variables: scenario and ‘what if’ analysis;
- housing affordability: the social dimension;
- workforce and population: do we have sufficient workers and skills?

The Communications Council (TCC) is the peak body representing agencies in the marketing communications industry to media, government and the public. The council helps to grow member businesses and develop individual careers through the provision of professional development services, advocacy and support.
This recent partnership will develop industry programs that further bridge the gap currently existing between study and career opportunities for students. The purpose of this network is to create greater on-campus activity, free and subsidised industry memberships, and additional industry and networking engagement opportunities.
Through this partnership, CBS and TCC will work to successfully guide students as they make the transition from university to the workforce.

Delivered by the Department of Commerce, the West Australian Industry and Export Awards (WAIEA) recognise the business success of local entrepreneurs from organisations of various sizes and diversity.
In acknowledging the innovation, hard work and success of businesses large and small, these awards also recognise the important contribution Western Australian businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community.
CBS has partnered with WAIEA to provide practical experience for our postgraduate students who will assist organisations with the development of their WAIEA applications.
