Curtin Business School has an agreement with Renmin University of China to provide training to a group of Senior Executives (ranging from Board Chairmen, Directors, General Managers, Chief Financial Officers and Vice Presidents) of various Chinese corporations studying at a Masters level (Chinese Masters of Practising Management CMPM) at Renmin University. The focus of the program is to broaden the executives’ overseas interactions and global business awareness through program modules delivered by CBS academics. Incorporation of relevant industry visits and presentations by industry specialists are included in the program design and are tailored to the program requirements.
Visits include such diverse organisations as the Parliament of Western Australia, Kings Park Authority, the CBH Grain Terminal in Kwinana, Alcoa, Huntly and McCoy Sites, Pinjarra; City of Perth and the Department of State Development.
Participants have the opportunity to attend presentations by dignitaries such as the Chinese consular staff, Australian government officials, senior business people and university staff.
With a focus on international and Australia-Chinese business, the program delivered by CBS looks to enhance the visitors’ knowledge of Australian and International markets; politics; business environment and government policy on a macro and micro level and at a micro level. This exchange provides a valuable opportunity for Chinese executives to improve their international and Australian business knowledge, meet and improve their Australian/ International networks and provides opportunities for wider corporate relationships.
This successful program is seen as a prototype for developing relationships with other prestigious Business Schools in Asia in the future.
