Ms Marie Mills
Marie Mills is a respected public relations professional with more than 30 years’ journalism and public relations experience. She operates at the highest level of public relations practice and works in partnership with a wide range of clients, proving strategic issues and crisis management support, communication planning, community consultation, marketing communication and corporate training. She is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a Board member of Workpower – an organisation that creates opportunities for people with disability and people with mental illness, and supports families and carers.
Marie started her career as a travel writer, but gave away the ‘dream job’ to become a print and then broadcast journalist, including reporting and producing television news and current affairs, and two years hosting morning talkback radio with the ABC. In 1991, she co-founded Mills Wilson – a full-service communications agency to ASX‑listed, government, private and not for profit organisations across Australia – and took on full responsibility for the agency in 2010.
