Mr Michael Horton

Michael Horton is currently employed as the Senior Vice President and Country Manager for HCL’s Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) business. He is based out of Perth.

Michael has over 30 years of experience in global IT sales and delivery. He has joined HCL from CSC where he was the Industry Director for the E&U and Natural Resources sectors in Australia, Asia, Middle East and Africa regions. His responsibilities included client relationships, sales, revenue and margin, as well as overseeing the successful delivery of the company’s full range of services to these sectors.

He is a CSC veteran, having worked for them in Perth, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur in numerous management capacities, across the disciplines of sales, delivery, technical and business management areas. He has also been posted on challenging short term assignments to Maidstone in the UK, San Diego & Newark, USA and Singapore.

Michael holds a Masters in IT Management, from Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia, and an Associate Diploma in Applied Science from Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. He is Project Management Institute (PMI) certified and a certified professional and senior member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Michael is an active supporter of the Curtin University Business School, sitting on their IS advisory board and is an ex-local board member of the Australian IT Industry Association (AIIA).
