Dr Sherry Bawa

Sherry joined Curtin University in 2011 as a lecturer in the Department of Economics and Finance. She was appointed Director, Learning and Teaching, School of Economics and Finance in Jan. 2017. Sherry was awarded her Ph.D. in Monetary Economics from G.N.D.U. India in 2008. She also holds Masters in Business Administration, M.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics degrees. Prior to joining Curtin University, she had several years of teaching experience from various business schools in India.

Sherry has coordinated various units at Curtin University such as Managerial Economics, Introductory Economics, Advanced Applied Economics, Economic Policy Analysis, Macro Economics, Micro Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Quantitative Techniques, Strategic Games, International Economics, Public Economics.

She is a member of PRME council at Curtin. Her research interest areas are labour economics, gender differentials and wealth, gender issues, labour economics and well- being and monetary economics. She has her recent publications in Economic Record, International Labour Review, The Economic and Labour Relations Review, Australian Journal of Labour Economics.
